In the early 1900s, Jessie follows in the footsteps of decades of women before her to speak up and take action in demand of women’s right to vote, despite the opposition of her prominent political family.

The Robert H. Jackson Center welcomes teachers and their students to join us again in 2024 for Living Voicesin the Center’s Cappa Theater.

Powerful, dynamic live performances combined with archival film and sound, transforming history into a moving, personal journey using historical perspectives based on real people and events.

Multiple performances are offered each presentation day and material can be adapted to a variety of grade levels with applicability for Common Core Curriculum for students in Grades 9-12.
